Components

Side plates are sheared to size.

The side plates are stamped to shape and the lettering stamped in. The plates are then de-burred using a tumbling process.

Threaded rings are cut to length and then machined to provide ridge for fixing side plates. They are then 100% checked for thread with male thread to remove any burrs.

The Top Ring is cut to length. Then formed to shape using a two step stamping process. Then de-burred as required.

Nuts and Bolts are purchased and inspected for threads and size.

 

Welding

Side Plates and Threaded Ring are located in Welding Jig and tack welded in place.

Unit is placed on the Top Ring and tack welded in place.

Unit is placed in welding jig to locate and tack weld nuts into place.

Unit is then sent to welding bench for final welding. This is accomplished on state of Straight DC Welding Power Supply under Carbon Dioxide Gas Blanket.

Units are visually inspected for weld quality.

Cut Slot between Nuts and de-burr threads.

Samples are destructively tested for weld strength and integrity.

 

Finishing

Units are de-scaled and Zinc Plated.

Units are then sent for Electrostatic Powder Coating to desired color.

Thickness for both plating and paint is done using Magnetic Method.

Units are packaged individually in heat sealed poly bags and then packed 16 pieces into shipping container with cardboard separation.
